Otis Gibson Takes Up England Coaching Job

Former West Indies coach Barbadian Otis Gibson will back in a coach role during the test series between the West Indies and England starting next month.

This as England have appointed Gibson as their fast bowling coach for their tour of West Indies.

The 46-year-old ex-Windies bowler takes over from David Saker, who is to become head coach of Big Bash League side Melbourne Renegades.

Gibson moves back into a role he held between 2007 and 2010 before being succeeded by Saker.

The England and Wales Cricket Board’s managing director Paul Downton revealed it is a short-term appointment”.

England will play three Tests against the Windies as they try to bounce back from the disappointment of their World Cup campaign

Gibson took over as head coach of West Indies after resigning from his post as England bowling coach in 2010 But after nine wins in 36 Tests, he left the role by “mutual agreement” in August 2014.
