Jamaica Scorpions still winless after two games in Regional Super 50

The Jamaica scorpions are still without a victory after two games in the regional super 50 tournament.

This after they crash to four wicket loss to English County team Kent in Antigua yesterday.

The scorpions were first restricted to a paltry 156 all out in the 42nd over.

Andre McCarthy was the only useful contributor with a top score of 76 as Ivan Thomas and Joseph Denly grabbed four wickets each.

At their turn to bat Kent recovered from a shaky start first at 4 for 25 and 47 for 5 to secure the victory at 159 for 6 in the 44th over.

Alex Blake led the way with an unbeaten 74 and he shared in a crucial 72 run six wicket stand with Adam rouse who made 28.

Blake then shared in a 40 run fourth wicket stand with Calum Hagget who ended on 10 not out.

Meanwhile despite Rakheem Cornwall second century of the tournament the Leeward Islands hurricanes went down by 17 runs to the Guyana Jaguars in their day/night fixture at the Coolidge cricket ground

Cornwall slammed 119 including 10 sixes and four fours as the hurricanes chasing a victory target of 299 fell short at 282 all out in the 46th over.

Keemo Paul starred with the ball with 5 for 76.

Earlier the jaguars piled up 298 for 8 in their 50 overs.

Leon Johnson was run out for 99 while Shimron Hetmeyer made 47 and Anthony bramble 40.
