by February 15th, 2018

The body of a man was found beside his vehicle in the Cockpit community of Clarendon this morning (Feb 15).

Dead is 57 year old Esron Laing of Kingston 20.

Head of the Clarendon police Superintendent David White says investigators are yet to determine if Laing was the only victim of a crime.

This as officers found several items of female clothing close to the car Laing was driving.

Reports are that about 5 a-m, officers on patrol along the Salt River main road observed a range rover motor vehicle, in bushes along the river embankment.

Upon further checks, police found Laing on the ground. He reportedly had a gunshot wound to his face.

Residents told an Irie FM News correspondent that Laing appeared to have lost control of the car, and the vehicle crashed into the embankment.

The woman’s clothing was seen strewn along the roadside.
