Entertainment Activities In St. Elizabeth On Lock Down

The parish of St. Elizabeth is the latest to experience a ban on entertainment events, as a result of the increase in violent activities across the parish.

In addition to informing the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation, Superintendent Catherine Lord head of the St. Elizabeth Police confirmed with Music News, that the police will not be approving the staging of any entertainment activities in the named communities.

According to Superintendent Lord, the St. Elizabeth Police have placed a ban on the staging of all entertainment activities in a number of major towns across the parish, inclusive of the capital of Black River, Santa Cruz, Lacovia and Maggoty.

A ban was also placed on all car and bike shows for the next 6 months. Meanwhile the ban on other entertainment related events is temporary with a review to be conducted once the violence in the listed areas have decreased.
