Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer says he is “honored and humbled” after receiving the Mentorship Award from the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) at its Honor Awards in Kingston on Sunday.

Bounty Killer who is renowned for providing a platform to more than half of dancehall’s top deejays says out of all the Awards he has ever received, this award for Mentorship is special and unique.

Bounty Killer has been credited with giving a slew of entertainers their big break including Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Scare Dem Crew, Cham, Bling Dwag, Wayne Marshall, Aidonia and countless others.
