Jamaican who competed at last month’s Winter Olympic Games returns an adverse finding?

There are reports that a Jamaican who competed at last month’s Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea has returned an adverse finding for a banned drug and is now facing the possibility of a four year suspension.

It’s understood that the athlete returned the infraction in her “a” sample for the banned drug Clenbuterol in mid-January, from a test done in Switzerland, ahead of the winter games.

Jazmine Finlator-Victorian, Carrie Russell and Audra Segree were the three athletes who represented Jamaica at the Winter Games.`

It further understood that the athlete and the Jamaica Bobsleigh federation, who were notified of the infraction within the two days are in the process of requesting that the “b” sample be tested.

According to WADA’s prohibited list, Clenbuterol is an anabolic steroid, which is banned at all times both in and out of competition.
