Dave Cameron believes globalization accounts state of Cricket in the Caribbean

Cricket West Indies president Dave Cameron believes globalization, more than anything else, accounts for  the state of cricket in the West Indies .

Cameron made the revelation yesterday following the launch of the Chirpy’s classroom adventure academic manual at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Trinidad.

He  says  supporting  the  tourist  Industry  and  getting  that  industry’s  support  is  the  way  to  go.

In the  meantime Cameron  is  speaking  confidently  that  the  West  Indies  team  will  be  at  the  ICC  World  Cup  next  year outlining  that  plans  are  underway  to  win  the World  Cup.

The two-time former champions  were  forced to play in the  qualifying tournament  which  the  regional cricket  boss  says  they  went  into   with a view to winning the world cup which  will  be  in England and Wales  in 2019.

The regional team boast an unblemished record in its four matches of the preliminary round of the ICC qualifiers in Zimbabwe, beating United Arab Emirates, Papua New Guinea, Ireland and the Netherlands.

The Caribbean side will  open  their  campaign  in the  Super  Six  stage  of  the  competition  tomorrow  against  Afghanistan.
