The police say a help desk has been established at the reception area of the Spanish Town police station, for members of the public whose family members have been taken into police custody during the state of public emergency in the St. Catherine North Division.

The security forces say the facility was established to prevent the influx of persons at the Jamaica police academy and Tamarind Farm prison where processing of detainees is being done.

Meanwhile, one gun was seized and one person arrested in operations today.
