Josef Budafuco, a member of Buju Banton’s management team has issued an emergency response following a press conference revealing that Trinidad will host Buju Banton’s first performance after his prison release.

Following the announcement on Sunday (25.03.18) on the Love and Harmony Cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit, Budafuco said Trinidad may not be Buju’s first performance following his prison release on December 8, 2018.

He however admitted that April 22, 2019 will see Buju Banton performing in Trinidad. Budafuco also added that talks with promoters in Jamaica and the Caribbean for a Buju Banton concert are currently underway.

The controversy started after journalists questioned why after a 10 year incarceration Buju Banton’s first performance is slated for Trinidad and not Jamaica.
