MOCA arrest 3 in Prisoners For Christ fraud probe

by March 27th, 2018

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) says three people have been taken into custody and several motor vehicles seized, in the on-going probe into the operations of prisoners for Christ (PFC) tele-marketing services.

More than JA $1 m and US $1,813 have also been seized in the investigation, so far.

In a release Moca says, it is aware that hundreds of people have already been defrauded by this entity.

It says PFC telemarketing is an entity with offices in the corporate area and purports to be able to import motor vehicles upon request of a down payment of $85 to $100,000 until the arrival of the vehicle.

Moca says it understands that disgruntled clients of the entity have seized computers and other equipment, from one or more of the locations.

It points-out that these devices contain material believed to be of evidentiary value to the ongoing investigation.

Moca is urging persons in possession of these items to hand them over to its office.
