Reggae Boyz for friendlies with St. Kitts and Antigua

by March 28th, 2018

Jamaica’s national senior footballers will continue their preparation for the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League with two matches next month.

The Reggae Boys will engage Caribbean neighbours St. Kitts and Nevis on April 26 in an away fixture and will face Antigua and Barbuda in a return clash on April 29.

The games which are not on official FIFA dates, continue the country’s preparation for the CONCACAF Nations League and allows for continued match practice for players.

“Seeing the players in games at the international level is the best way for the technical staff to assess the quality that they will bring to a competitive tournament. These games reveal all aspects of the players readiness for stiff competition, both on the field and off the field. We welcome all games”, stated national Senior head coach Theodore Whitmore.

The Reggae Boyz on Sunday played to a 1-1 draw with Antigua at Sabina Park, a result snapped Jamaica’s 5-game win streak over their Caribbean neighbours.

They open their account in the CONCACAF Nations League against the Cayman Islands in September.
