Former president of the JAAA/JFF Pat Anderson makes peaceful transition

Tributes continue to pour in for former president of both the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association and Jamaica Football Federation Patrick Anderson died yesterday at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

The 84 year old Anderson had been ailing for some time.

A giant in local sporting circles Anderson played an integral part in the development of youngsters under the umbrella of the Alcan Sports programme.

Under his leadership training camps for junior athletes had started which produced the likes of Olympic medallists Usain Bolt, Melanie Walker, Sherone Simpson, Kerron Stewart and several others who were regular members at these weekend camps at G.C. Foster College.
