Popcaan & Beenie Man Caught In Manufactured Feud

by April 16th, 2018

Dancehall entertainers Popcaan and Beenie Man became victims of a huge misunderstanding on social media on Sunday night.

The feud started when popular artiste manager Romeich uploaded a video of Beenie Man, Christopher Martin, D-Major, Shenseea and some other persons at a table during a Sunday lounge session in Tobago.

In the video Beenie Man was caught quoting this line “Cause dem nuh know when we buy 3 tin a sardines and 1 pound a rice from the shop” from Popcaan’s song ‘Family’. Beenie used some choice words to rubbish the line from the song, stating that it had to be lie.

Upon discovering the video Popcaan then shared the video with his over 1 million followers stating that he respects Beenie Man and he will be choosing to be the bigger person, but described Beenie’s actions as disappointing. Canadian Rapper Drake then immediately commented under Popcaan’s post basically calling Beenie Man a traitor, with this comment ‘Jump Fence.’

In an effort to clear the air and prevent further misunderstanding, Beenie Man has since responded with his own video. Beenie Man challenged Romeich to post the entire conversation, and denied he was trying to disrespect Popcaan in anyway.

Veteran deejay Bounty Killer has also shared the Beenie Man video and called on both Popcaan and Beenie Man to make peace.
