Opposition Leader Dr. Peter Phillips has called for an independent public enquiry into the affairs of the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
This follows a tour of the health facility by PNP officials, as well as Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton today.
Dr. Phillips says, the enquiry should seek to find-out what contributed to the government’s failure, to evacuate the hospital as per the recommendation of ministry technocrats.
He also wants the enquiry to investigate and determine the true cause of the poor air quality affecting staff and patients at Cornwall.
He was speaking at a press conference at the Wexford Hotel in Montego Bay, St. James, this afternoon (Apl 17).
