Defending champions Winward Road All Age leads Insports All Age Champs

Defending champions Winward Road All Age leads the point’s standings, of the two day Insports Junior High school Track and Field Championship, which ends this afternoon at the National Stadium.

Heading in today’s action Winward road leads the Points standings with 121 points, ahead of John Mills with 106, followed by Constant Spring with 103.5 points, Shortwood comes next with 75 and Calabar junior high rounds out the top five with 54 points.

Meanwhile one record was broken yesterday by Lincoln Richmond of Winward Road who won the boys class 5 ……100 metres in a new mark 13.52 seconds, ahead of Damana Davis also of Winward Road 13.90 and Ezra Headley of Cockburn Gardens 13.97.

Richmond erased the old mark of 13.64seconds set by Leonard Barrett back in 2015.

Winward Road All Age also snatched the gold in the boy’s class 1…. 100 metres through Chris Crawford who eased to 11.70 seconds, ahead of Elton Hyatt of Constant Spring 11.81seconds and Geovanni Taylor of Shortwood 11.97.

On the girls side Kimoy Brown of John Mills won the class 1…. 100 metres after stopping the clock at 13.50 seconds, ahead of Winward Road’s Shadae’ Prince who crossed the line in 13.91 and Tahece Richards of Calabar Primary and Junior high took the bronze in 14.14 seconds.

Winward Road All Age coach Oral Whilby was satisfied with the first day’s action

Today’s action gets underway at 9 this morning and some 36 finals are down to be contested.
