by May 4th, 2018

The Jamaica Defence Force has located the wreckage of an aircraft that disappeared from radar, in Trelwany yesterday (May 3).

JDF Media Affairs Officer Major Basil Jarrett says three bodies have also been found.

He says teams on the ground moved to the location just south of Duncans, where parts of the plane were found in bushes.

The small plane left the Sangster International Airport in St. James destined for the Tinson Pen Aerodrome in Kingston yesterday afternoon.

It was last seen on radar at 4:36 p.m., above Trelawny.

That’s 32 kilometres or 20 miles, east of Sangster International Airport, between Duncans and Clark’s Town.

A search began yesterday afternoon and continued today and the wreckage was found about 4:30 this afternoon.
