Sunshine Girl Jhaniele Fowler-Reid continued her red-hot start to her debut season in the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia.
In her latest outing she scored a game high 62 goals from 67 attempts (93%) to lead the West Coast Fever to a 68-57 win over Magpies Netball Club in their second round contest in Perth. Caitlin Thwaites went 39 of 45 in a losing cause for the Magpies.
Fowler-Reid, who joined the team in the off-season, is currently top of the goal-scoring chart after last week draining a league record 66 goals from 68 shots to lead the Fever to a 74-56 win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds in round one.
The Fever lead the table with 15 points, one ahead of Giants Netball who ran out 71-48 winners over the Thunderbirds.
Round two continues on Sunday with Romelda Aiken – who is 4th in scoring and first in offensive rebounds – in action for the Queensland Firebirds who face the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the all-Queensland derby in Brisbane.
Defender Kadie-Ann Dehaney will also turn out tomorrow for the Melbourne Vixens who are up against the NSW Swifts.
