Middlesex signs Windies star Dwayne Bravo for T20 Blast

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has signed with English county side Middlesex for the first six games of the upcoming Vitality T20 Blast.

Bravo, currently with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, will make his debut against Surrey on July 5 with his final game coming against Hampshire on July 26 before heading to the Caribbean Premier League where he will captain the Trinbago Knight Riders.

He is the second overseas player to sign for Middlesex with Australian all-rounder Ashton Agar available for the full competition.

The 34-year-old at the franchise level leads the way with 420 wickets -72 more than his closest rival Lasith Malinga. Only Kieron Pollard with 420 has played more than Bravo’s 385 T20 matches, while he has represented more than 15 franchises and teams.

The double World T20-winner has also played 66 T20 internationals, averaging 24.29 with the bat to go along with 52 wickets at an average of 28.26.
