Fowler-Reid and Aiken continue statistical dominate in Suncorp Super League

Sunshine Girls Jhaniele Fowler-Reid and Romelda Aiken continue to hold their places among the statistical leaders in the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia.

Fowler-Reid, who is in her debut season, leads the league in scoring with 167 goals and is 4th in offensive rebounds with 5.

Her last outing saw her scoring a game high 39 goals from 44 attempts to guide the West Coast Fever to a narrow 56-55 win on the road against defending champions Sunshine Coast Lightning.

The visitors with the result improved to a perfect 3-o to remain top of the table on 21 points while the reigning premiers remain at the foot without a win.

Aiken meanwhile leads the league in offensive rebounds with 13 and is third in scoring with 124 goals.

Action on the weekend saw her making 40 of her 47 shots to lead the Queensland Firebirds to a hard-fought 59-55 win over the defender Kadie-Ann Dehaney and the Melbourne Vixens.

The Firebirds are now tied on with Giants Netball on 15 points with Giants occupying second by virtue of a superior goal difference.

The Vixens meanwhile are two points behind in 5th but tied on 13 points with 4th place NSW Swifts.

Action in round 4 opens with Queensland visiting Giants Netball at the Quaycentre in Sydney on May 19.

The red hot West Coast Fever hosts NSW Swifts on May 20 at the HBF Stadium in Perth while the Vixens seek to rebound against the Adelaide Thunderbirds when both teams square off at Priceline Stadium.
