Update: Tommy Lee Sparta still in police lockup

by May 21st, 2018

Dancehall deejay Tommy Lee Sparta remains in police lockup despite his lawyer’s 2 pm ultimatum to law enforcement officials for his release.

Tommy Lee’s attorney Ernest Smith says if police did not charge his client by two this afternoon, he will seek an injunction for the release of the dancehall deejay.

Well, the Montego Bay dancehall deejay has not yet been charged and is currently in police custody.

Tommy Lee Sparta was taken into police custody in Manor Park, St Andrew Sunday morning. Reports are that the Sparta deejay was arrested by police personnel wearing masks as he exited an A-T-M machine.

The police say they want to question the Tommy Lee Sparta in connection with organized crime in Montego Bay, St James.

Meanwhile, Mr. Smith says his client has relocated from Montego Bay, in part due to fact that the police are refusing to give permits for entertainment events on which Tommy Lee Sparta is booked to appear.
