by May 22nd, 2018

Parish Court Judge Sandria Wong-Small has given the Police until Tuesday next week to appear before her and justify their detention of Tommy Lee Sparta.

The parish court judge made the order after attorneys Tom Tavares-Finson and Donohue Martin filed an application in the Montego Bay Parish Court seeking the dancehall deejay’s release.

Tommy Lee Sparta was transferred to the Freeport police lockup in Montego Bay, St. James where he is being held under the State of Public Emergency.

The Sparta deejay was taken into police custody in Manor Park, St Andrew on Sunday morning.

Reports are that Tommy Lee Sparta was arrested by police personnel wearing masks as he exited an A-T-M machine.

The police say they want to question the Tommy Lee Sparta in connection with organized crime in Montego Bay, St James.
