James & Harden unanimously selected on All-NBA first team

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James and MVP front-runner James Harden of the Houston Rockets were both unanimously voted to the 2018 All-NBA first team.

James who is earning the nod for a record 12th time in his 15-year career, played all 82 games while averaging 27.5 points to go with career highs of 9.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds.

Harden meanwhile joined Michael Jordan as the only players to average at least 30 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game in a season.

Joining them on the All-Nba First Team are Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans) and Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers).

Durant this season averaged 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and a career-high 1.75 blocks.

Lillard compiled 26.9 points, 6.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds while Davis became the first player to post at least 2000 points, 800 rebounds, 150 blocks and 100 steals in a season since David Robinson in 1995-1996

The All-NBA second team meanwhile featured last season’s MVP Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City) along with Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), LaMarcus Aldridge (San Antonio Spurs) and Demar Derozan (Toronto Raptors).

Former two-time MVP Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) heads the All-NBA third team that’s completed by Victor Oladipo (Indiana Pacers), Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Minnesota Timberwolves duo Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns.
