International, Grammy-winning dancehall deejay Sean Paul is mourning the loss of his father Garth Henriques who died on Thursday.

Since SP made the announcement on Instagram, messages of condolence have flooded social media platforms. Entertainers Chi Ching Ching, Tarrus Riley, Charly Black, Ashanti, Stone Bwoy, Cham, Tessanne Chin, Wayne Marshall, Singer J, and Red Rat among many others have sent messages of condolence.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued to the media, Sean Paul thanked fans, friends, and family who donated blood and offered good wishes. The dancehall deejay also thanked the doctors and nurses at the University Hospital of the West Indies where his father was getting treatment for an unknown illness.

Last month via Instagram, Sean Paul made a plea to his fans and friends to donate blood to his father who needed O Negative blood at the time. SP also hosted a blood drive that benefited other patients at the hospital.
