St Catherine man found guilty of quadruple murder

A 7 member jury in the Gun Court yesterday convicted a man in relation to a quadruple murder committed 4 years ago.

Simeon Miller is accused of killing Garfield Simpson, Shanna-Kay Simpson, Reicodel Jackson, and Dean Pratt, in the Mickelton area of Linstead, St. Ccatherine on August 20, 2014.

34 year old Miller is to be sentenced on July 6.

The Crown led evidence that Miller was among a group of men who held up and robbed some patrons at a shop in the community.

The armed robbers were reportedly dressed in army fatigue and police uniform.

Some of the victims were reportedly shot after they failed to hand over their valuables, while another was shot while entering the premises, unaware of the robbery.

In court yesterday, the jury deliberated for 40 minutes before returning with a unanimous verdict of guilty for 4 counts of murder, against Miller.
