18 persons were injured in a motor vehicle accident along the Spring Garden main road in Portland this morning (May 27).

Police reports are that three of the eighteen are likely to be admitted at hospital, while the other 15 are to be treated and released.

The injured are at the Annotto Bay hospital.

Reports are that shortly after 7 a.m. a white Toyota Hiace bus, which plies the Port Antonio to Ocho Rios route, was travelling westerly.

Upon reaching a section of the Spring Garden main road, the bus ran off the road and rolled over several times, before landing on its top.

The fire brigade had to be called to remove some passengers from the bus.
