A fifty-five-year-old pastor accused of impregnating a 12-year-old girl has been granted bail in the sum of $1.5 m.

Kenneth Blake, the pastor of the Harvest Temple Apostolic Church on Slipe Road in Kingston, is to appear in the Home Circuit Court on October 1.

The girl, who is now 15, has since given birth to a baby boy.

Blake is facing charges of rape, grievous sexual assault, sexual touching, and forcible abduction of a girl under 16.

The incident allegedly took place in 2015, but Blake is denying the allegation.

In August last year, Blake consented to a DNA test, and the test results confirmed that he fathered the child.

Blake is however disputing the results, and is contending, that the test conducted at the government forensic laboratory, was tainted.

In April this year, a judge granted an order for Blake to do another DNA test, at a private facility, at his own expense.
