Veteran deejay Bounty Killer has expressed shock at the recent attack on fellow deejay Mavado in his hometown of Cassava Piece over the weekend.

Under a throwback video on his official Instagram page of Mavado and Bounty performing in the streets of Cassava Piece, Bounty Killer posted this caption: “Disturbed, disappointed disapproved Cassava Piece should never pop off a piece over a fist fight not right protection @mavadogully protect yu chest protect yu knee protect yu foot dem protect yu head and certain place yu nuh fi put dem!!! Jah naah sleep.”

This comment from Bounty follows reports that Mavado narrowly escaped with his life over the weekend after gunmen fired shots at him following an altercation in Cassava Piece St. Andrew.

Bounty Killer who has long been lauded as one of Mavado’s mentors, ended a previous beef with the Gully God back in 2016, and has since been keeping the peace with Mavado who he often refers to as his son.

Meanwhile controversial dancehall selector Foota Hype has also commented on the matter via social media, with this caption “I pray for peace in Cassava Piece, please let love be the dominant force.”
