Danielle Williams lone Jamaican winner at Oslo Diamond League meeting

2015 world champion Danielle Williams was the lone Jamaican winner at the Oslo Diamond League meeting in Norway yesterday.

Williams sped to victory in the women’s 100 meters hurdles winning in a season’s best 12.60 seconds.

She finished ahead of Alina Talay of Belarus 12.63 seconds while Queen Harrison of the USA was third in 12.71.

Meanwhile Kimberly Williams secured the bronze in the women’s triple jump with a leap of 14.50 seconds finishing ahead of her Jamaica compatriot Sheneka Ricketts who leapt 14.44 meters for fourth.

The event won by Colombia’s Caterine Ibarguen who leapt 14.89 meters while Tori Franklyn of the us was second with 14.57 meters.

Commonwealth champion Fredrick Dacres hurled 63.85 meters in the men’s discuss but that effort was only good enough for 8th place.

The event won by Andrius Gudzius of Lithuania who threw 69.04 meters.
