32 units of blood were collected by the National Blood Transfusion Service, commonly called the Blood Bank, at today’s (June 14) drive in Ocho Rios St. Ann.

Blood Donor Organiser at the Blood Bank Igol Allen says 64 persons registered, but not all were able to donate blood.

He says the drive was, however, a success in terms of boosting public awareness.

The drive in Ocho Rios was held in recognition of today’s observance of World Blood Donor Day.

The Blood Bank will continue its donor drives in Seprod on Friday and National Chest collection centre in Kingston, on Saturday.
