German Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf has denied signing a deal with Kyle Butler, the brother of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
The newly promoted club was responding to a social media post where Butler, on Thursday, posted a picture of him signing a contract on Twitter and on Instagram announcing he had signed a deal.
“Happy to put ink to paper,” Butler’s tweet said.
The post however was removed after Fortuna Düsseldorf denied the deal.
“No idea what Kyle Butler is signing there, but it is definitely not a contract between him and Fortuna Düsseldorf!,” Fortuna Düsseldorf tweeted.
Below is Fortuna Düsseldorf’s tweet and the translation in English.
