Following controversial comments about Paula Llewellyn

in the high-profile Appeal for entertainers Vybz Kartel, and Shawn Storm, the DPP says it’s her intent to release a statement.

Miss Llewellyn who is accused of prosecutorial misconduct, refused to comment but says she will release an official statement before the week is out.

Shawn Storm’s attorney, Bert Samuels after the appeal hearing on Monday calls the DPP’s action unconstitutional.

On Monday, the Appeal Court heard that one of the text messages which prosecutors used to convict Vybz Kartel and Shawn Storm of murder was created six weeks before the victim’s death.

Further details suggest that there is evidence that the mobile phones taken from Vybz Kartel were used to make calls while they were in the custody of the police.

Vybz Kartel and Shawn Storm along with two others were sentenced to life imprisonment. Kartel was ordered to serve 35 years which means he will be in his 70s before he’s eligible for parole.
