Exciting Jamaican Winger Leon Bailey is ranked in the top ten of the most valuable under 21 players in the world.
the ranking is led by Franc’e standout striker Kylian Mbappé who is twice as valuable as England striker Marcus Rashford with Bailey at number 9.
A new report by prime sport titled Soccerex 20 under 21 report values Mbappé at £170.2 million pounds or just over 190.4 million euros making him the first under 21 player to be valued over 100 million pounds.
Second-ranked Rashford is valued at £78.9 million, while Manchester city and Brazil striker, Gabriel Jesus is ranked third with a £77.9 million pound valuation.
Bailey who plays for German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen is valued at just over 56 million euros and is one of two players from the North American region in the rankings the other at number 8 American Christian Pulisic.
The list is dominated by France who have five players in the top 20, while Rashford is one of three English player in the 20.
Fourteen of the top 20 is made up of European players with Brazil contributing four of the non-European contingent.
The report authors point to a “total combined player values topping €1bn for the first time, a 66% increase on last year’s combined total.”
The valuation methodology takes into account the player’s age, position, current club, contract length, market value perception, international caps, minutes played, goals, injuries and “technical quality”.
