Two persons were killed in a motor vehicle accident along the North South highway earlier today.

The identities of the dead man and woman are being withheld as relatives have not yet been notified.

Reports are that shortly after 12 noon, a grey Honda city motor car was being driven along the highway towards Ocho Rios, when upon reaching in the vicinity of Unity Valley, the car crashed into the back of a yellow Shacman tipper motor truck, which was parked alongside of the roadway, due to mechanical issues.

The male driver and 2 female passengers received injuries. It’s reported that one of the female passengers was pregnant.

All 3 were taken to hospital where the male driver and one woman were pronounced dead.

The other woman was admitted in serious condition.
