It turned out to be another nightmare night for Manchester United as they fell to a 3-nil defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

Jose Mourinho who needed to smoke the ghost of defeat away after losing to Brighton in his previous game  made six changes to his side that lost against Brighton last weekend in the hope of inspiring united to victory but a raft of missed chances in the first half and shambolic defending in the second half resulted in a second defeat on the bounce for United.

Roemlu Lukaku had three good chances to score in the first half but United were picked apart by Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the second as the visitors struck twice in two minutes after the restart.

Harry Kane got their first with a bullet header and Brazilian Lucas Moura doubled their lead two minutes later before getting his second minutes from time.
