As it was in the beginning so shall it be when the curtains come up for the tenth staging of the Jamaica High School Alumni Sports Network two days Soccer and Netball Championship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida September 1 and 2.

For unto us is re-born this year , in the year of our Lord 2018 at the Lauderhill Sports Complex, a Championship both Soccer and Netball called Glorious, wonderful, exciting, pulsating and competitive.

And it came to pass in those days that Excelsior High, Ferncourt, Meadwobrook and Muschette were drawn in Zone A’ of the football competition, with the Boys from Heroes circle Wolmer’s, former champions Cornwall College, Tivoli High and St Elizabeth Technical to do battle in Zone B’.

Therefore it was Kingston College, Glenmuir, Old Harbour and Herbert Morrrison all set to face off in Zone C, while a competitive Zone D’ should feature defending Champions Bridgeport, alongside Dinthil, Calabar and Clarendon College.

The netball Zones will be featured in the second part of this two part story.

Verily, Verily I say unto you that unless you travel far and wide to witness the miracles in store, the goal scoring prowess of the stars, the passing and shooting, twisting and turning of the ladies on the netball courts, and the athleticism which will be on display, the chariots of fire, the music the food, the re-union, bun and cheese and patty, and the general melting pot of the diaspora which will be transformed into a festival this year, then you would have missed the goodness and ingenuity of the organizers, in the land of the living.
