Some 40 residents from Arnett Gardens benefited from a counselling intervention programme carried out by the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA).

The agency visited Arnett Gardens on Wednesday August 29, in response to the recent spate of violence and rising tensions in the community.

Regional Director for the south east region of theCPFSA Robert Williams, says approximately 20 adults and 20 children participated in the intervention programme.

He says the children in the community were traumatized and gripped with fear.

Mr. Williams says community members were reluctant at first but eventually joined in.
