Five killed, four wounded in Clarendon over weekend

It has been a bloody weekend in Clarendon with the police being kept busy.

 

The latest incident is a triple murder last evening in sandy bay.

 

The gun attack at Inverness Garden left a teenager and two adults dead.

 

They are 16-year-old Kevan Reece, otherwise called ‘Boysie’ of  Inverness Garden; 27-year- old Havanna Badall, otherwise called ‘Indian’; and 49- year-old Warren Douglas, otherwise called ‘Dadda’, both of  Bushy Park, St. Catherine .

 

Three other persons are nursing gunshot wounds.

 

Reports from the May Pen police are that about 7:40 p.m., six persons were at a shop in the community, when armed men opened gunfire at them.

 

The police were called and all were assisted to hospital, where Reece, Badall and Douglas were pronounced dead.

 

Two others were admitted, while another was treated and released.

 

A sister of the teenager spoke with Irie FM News.

 

Meantime, in another incident, 40 year old mason, Keith Alexander of Michael Manley Boulevard was shot and killed as he walked in Canaan Heights about 8:40 p.m.

 

The Clarendon police are appealing to residents who may have witnessed the shooting death of Alexander, to come forward and tell what they know.

 

Still in clarendon…

 

Two men were shot – one fatally – in Sandy Bay, yesterday morning.

 

Dead is 27 year old Jazene Burrell of sunrise road, sandy bay.

 

Reports from the May Pen police are that about 2:00 a.m, the 2 men were walking along a roadway in the community, when they were pounced upon by an armed man.

 

The men were robbed of some undisclosed items.

 

Further reports are that the robber opened fire on the 2, hitting them several times.

 

The police called and the 2 wounded men were taken to hospital where Burrell was pronounced dead, and the other man admitted.
