Relatives, friends and schoolmates from the Kingston Technical High school paid their last respects yesterday (Sep 7) to Yetanya Francis, in a memorial service at the Pentecostal Tabernacle church.

14 year old Francis was killed in her Arnett Gardens community last month.

She would have celebrated her 15th birthday today.

Tributes were given by Education Minister Ruel Reid, Member of Parliament Mark Golding, students and teachers of Kingston Technical High.

Education Minister Ruel Reid called on the community to not allow criminals to succeed in their mission to intimidate people.

He urged citizens to make use of the channels available, such as crime stop, to report what they know.

And, Kingston technical High PTA President Julian Marquis assured Yetanya’s parents that they had support during this challenging time, as they grieved the death of their daughter.
