All Jamaican workers in Hurricane Florence hit Carolinas, USA accounted for

The Labour Ministry has indicated that all Jamaican workers in the Carolinas, United States have been contacted and accounted for.

 

The Jamaican workers on the overseas employment programme are assigned to locations in North Carolina affected by Hurricane Florence.

 

These locations include Sea Island Hotel, Sonesta Hotel at Hilton Head and Omni Hilton Head.

 

In a statement today, the ministry said in the event that family members of these workers are not able to reach them, the ministry has provided a local emergency contact number.

 

The number is 876 948 1514.

 

It will be accessible tomorrow Saturday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Telephone calls can be made to the ministry during regular business hours on Monday, September 17.

 

Persons can also send the ministry a message on its official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
