Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton cruised to victory in the Singapore Grand Prix yesterday to strengthen his hold on this year’s Formula One Championship.

Hamilton’s tally atop the leader-board now stands at 256 points, 30 points better than the German Sebatien Vettel  of Ferrari who was second, while third place went to Kimi Raikkonen  also of Ferrari.

It was Hamilton’s fourth win at the Singapore Grand Prix, equaling Vettel as the most successful driver at the race and the 69th of his career.
