The Earthquake Unit is reporting that a light earthquake was felt in sections of the country about 1:47 p.m. today (Sep 16).

The epicentre was located about 4 kilometres east of Angels, St. Catherine.

It had a magnitude of 4.6, and a focal depth of 23.1 kilometres.

Persons reported feeling the earthquake in Portmore, Old Harbour and Spanish Town in St. Catherine.

Callers to Irie FM News reported feeling the earthquake in Frasers Content St. Catherine, Ocho Rios St. Ann, Port Maria St. Mary, Mitchell Town Clarendon, Catadupa St. James and in sections of Kingston and St. Andrew.
