The Trinbago Knightriders became the first team to capture consecutive Hero Caribbean Premier League titles after romping to a 8 wicket win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2018 championship decider at the Brain Lara Stadium in Trinidad last night.
In a game which was affected by rain the Knightriders chased down a winning target of 148 and secure the victory at 150 for 2 with 15 balls to spare.
Kiwis batsman Colin Munro was once again the star clobbering an unbeaten 68 from 39 balls.
The player of the tournament smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes in his knock and in the process ended the campaign with a record 567 runs.
This after Brendan McCallum 39 and Dinesh Ramdin 24 had put on 52 for the first wicket.

Earlier they amazon warriors who have now lost in four CPL finals posted a modest 147 for 9 from their 20 overs.
