The  local  based  members  of  Jamaica’s  national  senior  female  football  team  are   now in Texas ahead of the start of  Concacaf  women’s  championships later this week. 

The reggae girls who are drawn in group b’ are vying for one  of  three  automatic qualifying  spots  for  the  2019 FIFA World Cup to be staged in France.

The Caribbean  champions  will  tackle  Canada  in their  opening  game  on  October  5 , before meeting Costa Rica  on  October  8  ……..and then  close  the  group stage  on  October  11  against  Cuba.

The  4th  place  team  at  the  Concacaf  championships  will   play home and away against a Conmebol team  for  another  world  cup  final  spot, between November 5  and  13.
