IRIE FM’s Mutabaruka received the Peter Tosh award on Thursday in recognition for his outstanding service to the Jamaican music industry.

In celebration of what would have been Peter Tosh’s 74th birthday, on October 19, a series of events are being held at the Peter Tosh Museum at the Pulse Centre at 38A Trafalgar Road, Kingston 10.

On Saturday, October 20, the highly anticipated Peter Tosh Music Festival swings into high gear. Entertainers Jessie Royal, Luciano, Bushman, Jah Cure, Etana, Jah 9, Christopher Martin and Rygin King are slated to perform live.

Admission to attend the Peter Tosh Music Festival is $4,000.00.
