Jamaica’s Senior Sunshine girls are off to a solid start in the Fast Five Netball World series in Melbourne Australia.
The Jamaicans have won two out of three games played on the opening day of the two day tournament.
In their opening match the Jamaicans toppled South Africa 47 – 27 led by top shooter Romelda Aiken who scored 11 of 12 tries for 92 percent shooting, while she was ably assisted by Shanice Beckford who finished with 6 goals from 11 attempts.
The Jamaicans later lost to Australia 37-22, before rebounding to beat Malawi 35- 30 with Aiken netting 8 goals of 9 attempts, and Shimona nelson supporting with 6 of 8 goals .
Joyce Mvula top scored for Malawi with 8 goals of 14 tries .
Tomorrow the Jamaicans will face new Zealand and defending champions England ahead of the playoffs and final which will also be contested tomorrow .
