“No lawsuit” says Third World over Gap ad

International reggae group Third World will not take legal action against clothing giant Gap after their 40-year-old song was featured in an ad campaign.

In the colourful ad, Grammy-nominated R&B artist Leon Bridges performed a rendition of the Third World Band’s 1978 smash hit single “Now That We Found Love.”

In an exclusive Music News interview, Cat Coore says that the band is not contemplating legal action but wants to be credited by Gap.

Last week, American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, Gap launched their “Meet Me in the Gap” campaign.

In relating news, the Third World Band made an appearance on Fox5 New York this morning where they performed their new song “Loving You Is Easy” produced by Damian Junior Gong Marley and Ghetto Youths International.
