Teen boy burned to death in domestic dispute

A teenager is dead and his grandmother and sister hospitalised, after they were attacked at their home in Mocho, Clarendon this morning (Oct 31).

Dead is 14 year old Leroy Hamilton.

He was burnt to death after his house was sent on fire.

The 53 year grandmother received chop wounds to the face and hands and the sister, age 24 years, and received severe burns.

Police reports are that about 2:25 this morning 41 year old Craig Lawrence, who is from St. Catherine but lived in Clarendon, went to Hamilton’s home and tried to gain entry.

He was denied, but found a way inside the house.

Police say he attacked the occupants and then set the house on fire.

The two women escaped and after cooling down operations, Hamilton’s body was found.

The police say Lawrence’s body was found hanging in the community.
