National triathlete Llori Sharpe departs the island this Friday to compete in the Camtri sprint Triathlon American Cup and Ibero-American Championship in Santo Domingo.

Sharpe will be one of seven juniors participating in the elite event on a start list of 34 athletes.

She will compete with the pros of central and North America in the 75m swim, 20kilometre bike and 5 kilometre run.

Following the event Sharpe is set to participate in a two week camp in Santo Domingo along with 32 other athletes.
