David Richardson hails Regional Organizers for successful ICC Women’s T/20 Tournament

ICC chief executive David Richardson has congratulated cricket west Indies for a fantastic ICC women’s world t20 2018 that saw unprecedented attendances across three venues.

Also thanked all the teams for putting up what he described as their best showing, adding that the ICC is committed to backing both women’s cricket and the T/20 format and this tournament has played a significant part in that.

The west indies lost out in the semi-final to England, and Australia were eventually crowned champions after scoring an emphatic eight-wicket win over England to secure their fourth women’s world Twenty20 title .

Mr. Richardson, who watched Saturday’s final between Australia and England at the sir Vivian Richards stadium in Antigua, also acknowledged the sponsors for the event.
