The Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce has expressed appreciation for the relaxed operating hours under the state of emergency, which will allow businesses in the second city to benefit from the expected spike in customers over the holidays.

Chamber President Winston Lawson said the business community is looking forward to a good season.

He added that the business sector in Montego Bay is concerned about the impending end of the state of emergency come next month.

He urged the political directorate to grant the request of the security forces to have the measures continued.
